Benefits of gesturing often and how it will help you improve artistically

This class is for beginners: basic anatomy knowledge can be helpful, but is not required. 

A digital drawing program (Photoshop, Procreate, etc.)

Reference images will be provided, as well as resources to find your own.

As a self-taught artist of over 10 years, I’ve made and seen nearly every mistake one can make. I was once a new artist myself, and from experience, I know that many new artists don’t know how to approach gesture sketching (it can be intimidating!) and are missing out on the multitude of benefits that come from gesturing. The skills learned from this class, from gesture sketching, can be applied to all your art, giving poses more life and movement!

We will go slowly through a few gesture sketches first, step-by-step, before diving into gesturing at full speed.
